France Voila Newsletter No. 76 - April 27 2003
That was the longest break in the newsletter since I started it 4 years ago, so much has been happening and time just vanishes.
I hope you like the new presentation, the idea is to save your time (and bandwidth), I am still keeping the newsletter to a simple text format so it is friendly to most computers and systems. Carole and I moved to France from the UK 12 years ago, we lived near Lyon for a while and then moved south to our home in the Mediterranean village of Nizas in Languedoc, you can see us and our friends on a personal site at Nizas.com Making a living to feed a growing family is never easy, we have this huge 10th century house with a couple of apartments Our Apartments and the pleasure of meeting new friends from all over the world has been a great experience. We stated by advertising on Internet sites in 1998 and I though that we could do better - and we did - so now our Internet business of finding good value vacation rentals is successful, and we can eat (most days). We started our on-line magazine... France Voila in 1999 to keep in touch with our friends and this, and the newsletter, has grown into a very useful source of information for visitors to France. So many of our guests came to look for property to buy and asked us about services for sales and investments. Finding a good, legal, fair and reliable agent was very hard, but eventually we found a really great team who have offices all through the south of France from Monaco to the Charente. Coast and Country Our latest adventure is developing some new online publishing services, I believe a valuable use of the Internet is to help you find knowledge about the subjects which interest you - at present, to make an efficient search through the billions of pages, you have to know most of the answer before y |
