I am in Paris most of next week looking at apartments for clients and to add listings to the websites. In reality I do not have a jet-set lifestyle, normally my transport is by bicycle with Carole around the local vineyards. Spring was later than usual this year so with the intensity of the light and the rapid changes in the vegetation, the variety of different shades of green is something I have never seen so strikingly. If you are doing this from a distance it is difficult to do more than just scratch the surface in a two week visit. Agents do not publish the location, usually not even the village a property is in, few have "for sale" boards, so you can find yourself wasting many days. The Internet offers ways to shortlist suitable looking properties, but there are problems with this - I mention some of these in this newsletter.
