School's (almost) out for SummerYou can read this newsletter online from http://nizas.com/newsletters/june06_1/ Tomorrow is the National Music Festival in France. This heralds in the long summer break and the big "wind-down" for the mass exodus from Paris and the North to the sunshine and beaches of the South of France. I was in Paris for the Music festival a couple of years ago and it really was a good time, faces grey with months of living in offices were brightened with the anticipation of the trip south, all the musical events had people gathering around them like flocks of migrating starlings. School holidays have started for our kids - over three months off school. This was fine when they were needed for work on the farm, but twelve weeks of video games, television and lounging around the pool is not planned for this summer - any suggestions what I can do with my household will be welcomed.
